Jerry Sloan resigns as Jazz coach

Posted by slammo in News

No one anticipated this. Especially since Jerry Sloan signed his extension recently. Utah Jazz have struggled the entire season, especially these last two months. Understandable with half of their roster revamped and losing a core player in Carlos Boozer. They’ve always played through their slumps. Sloan-led teams are known for their resilience and hard work ethic. It’s still hard to believe the longest-tenured coach in any sport is retiring. His longtime assistant Phil Johnson is retiring as well. Word on the (twitter) street is Deron Williams got into it with Sloan for the millionth time. “(Sloan) decided right there in halftime that he was done,” a league source told Yahoo! Sports. “He felt like ownership was listening more to Williams than they were to him anymore. He was done.”

Jerry Sloan may be a Hall of fame coach but he will never enjoy the fruits of his hard work as coach of the year. Unlike this guy.
