Dwight Howard Throws Out the First Pitch

Posted by Admin in Uncategorized

Fresh off winning the Gold in China, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard threw out the first pitch at the Tampa Bay Rays’ game Wednesday night. From the looks of video, Howard used his long extension to deliver it across the plate.

Howard’s presence proved to be a good luck charm for the Rays, who crushed the visiting Red Sox in an important matchup 10-3.

The Cavaliers’ megastar, fresh off helping the U.S. basketball team win gold at the Beijing Olympics, will be at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend for the debut of “More Than A Game,” a documentary chronicling his rise to stardom and how he and four childhood friends overcame long odds to win a national championship in high school.

Combining footage taken during James’ career at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in nearby Akron, along with one-on-one interviews by writer/director Kris Belman, home videos, and personal family photographs, the film is about much more than basketball. At its core is a story of friendship, loyalty and love.

“We set out with a goal as kids and we wanted to accomplish that someway, somehow by using basketball as a tool, not knowing that it was going to create other opportunities for us,” James said. “We didn’t know it was going to create a brotherhood and trust. We grew from kids into young men.”

LeBron James Tells His Mom To Sit Down!

Posted by Admin in Uncategorized

A tussle takes place after LeBron James gets wrapped up by Paul Pierce. LeBron’s mother happened to be sitting courtside. She gets up and asserts herself in the mix. I guess we now know where LeBron gets his toughness from!

LeBron Is Not Good At Tipping

Posted by Admin in Uncategorized

According to clevescene.com, LeBron James tipped $10 on a $800 bill.

LebRon thumbs down

One of LeBron’s favorite places to dine is XO Prime Steaks on West Sixth. Its mix of swank drinks and delicately massaged beef allows the Chosen One to consume calories worthy of his royal digestive system. All of which is swell — except that LeBron is among Cleveland’s stingiest tippers.

According to a Punch source, a peer recently quit after tiring of LeBron going Scrooge McDuck on his ass.

It went down like this: LeBron pulls up in his Mercedes outside XO. People stop and try not to stare, but c’mon, it’s LeBron James. He enters the restaurant with a group of friends. On this special occasion, the King decides to dine late. He keeps his group there until around 3:45 a.m. During this time the waiter obsequiously pours drinks and fetches anything else His Greatness needs.

The final bill comes to $800. By the feudal laws of decorum, which stipulate that the affluent should administer a 20 percent gratuity, staffers figured they’d be pocketing an extra $160. But when they fetched the autographed bill after His Heinousness bolted back to Akron, their expectation turned to disbelief, then anger.

LeBron stiffed them with a meager $10 tip.

$10?? That’s around 1.25%, At least it’s a much better percentage than his Game 1 shooting (2 for 18) against the Celtics.
