Good PR move but the chances of Griffin staying with the Clippers is extremely low. Clippers have been here before. They’ve always had good young players but for various reasons were unable to re-sign them: Lamar Odom, Elton Brand, Corey Maggette, list goes on. Clippers have won 10 of their last 14 games and beat the Lakers and the Heat. It takes a lot more than that to shake off the franchise’s stigma of constantly losing. Unless owner Donald Sterling changes his ways and actually care about winning, he has to pay up and surround Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin with good role players. Their future looks bright but knowing the Clippers, it will change to a cloudy forecast in an instant.
