This is an excellent trade for both teams. The Pistons, who now have a fearsome backcourt of Rip Hamilton and A.I., should see an increase in scoring while the Nuggets desperately needed some defense which Billups can bring. J.R. Smith should also get more minutes without A.I. in the lineup.
It’s official – The Pistons fired Flip Saunders after three seasons in which he led the team to the Eastern Conference finals.
