Kobe Allegedly Cheats on Wife with ex-Laker Girl Vanessa Curry

Gossip site ‘The Dirty’ claims to have uncovered some major dirt on Kobe Bryant. The site claims that Vanessa Curry, an ex-Laker Girl, had an affair with Kobe Bryant. The Dirty says they have a “source” who has pictures of the two. News of this alleged affair probably didn’t jive too well with the Lakers organization. Vanessa Curry soon resigned as a Laker Girl. Vanessa’s link on the Laker Girl website is gone. The Lakers camp claim that Vanessa resigned from the squad on her own so that she could pursue a “hosting career”.

If this is all true, maybe Vanessa Lane Bryant (Kobe’s wife) may get another $4 million ring out of this…

Update:
According to TMZ.com – it has obtained a cease and desist letter that Kobe Bryant’s attorney fired off to the owners of a website that accused the NBA star of having an affair with a Lakers cheerleader.
The letter demands the site remove Kobe’s "name, image, and likeness, and any information that relates in any way to him" — but thus far, it’s still there. TheDirty told tmz.com, "TheDirty.com strictly adheres to all laws when posting stories and/or images."

Charles Barkley Settles 400K Casino Debt

Posted by Admin in News

Sometime earlier this week, Barkley paid $400,000 to the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas. The resort filed a May 14 civil complaint in Nevada state court demanding Barkley to repay four $100,000 casino markers, or loans, received last Oct. 18 and 19.

Barkley also had to pay $40,000 for statutory and bad check processing fees.

Charles Barkley said Monday, May 19th that he will stop gambling, at least for now, less than a week after acknowledging he owed a $400,000 debt to a Las Vegas Strip casino.

“I like to go into Vegas, it’s a fun place, but you know what, I’ve got to stop gambling. That’s the bottom line,” Barkley said during TNT’s pregame show before Game 7 between San Antonio and New Orleans. “I am not going to gamble anymore. For right now, the next year or two, I’m not going to gamble.”

“I have no, no money problems whatsoever. Nobody’s coming after me for money,” he said. “I screwed up and didn’t pay them in a significant amount of time. Could they have handled it differently? Yes. But it was my fault.”

Jay-Z to Represent the Nets at the Upcoming NBA Draft Lottery

Nets investor and music executive Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter will represent the Nets at the NBA Draft Lottery tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20. The Draft Lottery will be televised live on ESPN from 8 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. before Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons. The actual draft will be held on June 26.

“This is very exciting and I hope my nickname ‘Lucky Lefty’ holds up,” said Carter.

In the Draft Lottery for the first time since 2001, the Nets have a 1.1 percent chance of receiving the first pick of the Draft, and less than a 4 percent chance of securing one of the top 3 selections. Based on their 2007-08 season record, the Nets would likely have the 10th pick of the Draft if they don’t secure a top 3 selection.

Now can we get Beyonce to open up the envelopes instead of David Stern?

Dwayne Wade buys the church that helped turn his mother’s life around.

From the Chicago Sun Times:

Jolinda Wade began a new chapter in life.

After years of drug and alcohol abuse — and time in prison — Jolinda Wade opened the doors to her first church as co-pastor minister of the Temple of Praise on the South Side.

It’s a simple, unadorned chapel with fluorescent lighting, a plain white pulpit and no windows. Her son bought the building.

Wade turned her life around seven years ago when, after years of urging by her children, she got help and got clean. Along the way, she devoted her life to spreading the word of God, starting her first ministry while doing time in state prison.

She joked Sunday about her old life, pointing to her mother in the church audience.

“That woman over there — I used to tell her, ‘Don’t pray for me,'” Wade said. “Because if she prayed for me, the police came.”

When it was his turn to speak, Dwyane Wade said: “People says what I’ve done is miraculous. No, no, this is miraculous.”

The 47-year-old former athlete has been charged with spousal battery, one count of brandishing a deadly weapon and dissuading a witness, City Attorney’s Office spokesman Nick Velasquez said.

Rodman faces up to 36 months in jail, one year of probation, domestic violence counseling and a protective order if found guilty. He has been ordered to appear in court on May 22.

“We look forward to a successful resolution of this misdemeanor matter,” said Rodman’s attorney, Paul Meyer.

Isaiah Rider Arrested For GTA

Posted by Admin in News

Isaiah Rider is at it again…This time police sources say Rider was driving through skid row in L.A. at 2:30 when he failed to stop at the limit line at an intersection — c’mon Isaiah it’s like crossing the line while shooting freethrows.

Cops ran the plates and found the 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo was hot, so the LAPD popped him for grand theft auto (and crossing a limit line) and he was booked on $25,000 bail.

Rider was arrested earlier this month for possession of narcotics and evading a cop.

In 2006, he was also busted for kidnapping. He pled guilty to lesser charges, including felony cocaine possession. He was sentenced to seven months in jail and was placed on three years probation.
