No sex tape for Odom and Khloe

Posted by slammo in celebrity gossip, Lakers

In his interview with Playboy, Odom had this to say in response to what would happen if his sex tape leaked:

“When people see us in person, they see Khloé’s not small. I’m not small. People see us and are probably like, Damn, I wonder how that looks. We wouldn’t have anything to be ashamed about, but no, that’s not going down.”

And the world sighs in relief. I speak for every man with good taste when I say thank you Odom for keeping that troll to yourself.

Ron Artest x Lil B

Posted by slammo in Funny, Lakers

Ron Artest twittered this last week: @lilbthebasedgod we should calabo

For those unfamiliar with Lil B aka the Based God, it’s this guy

The man who brought you such classics as “I’m Paris Hilton,” “Wonton Soup,” “The Pretty Bitch is Back,” and “Meet Young Bitch.” And he compares himself to Aretha Franklin, Matlock, Mel Gibson, and of course Jesus. This collaboration needs to happen immediately. They can make a sequel to this song and talk about Kim Kardashian while Kris Humphries weep in the background.

For further proof of Lil B’s genius, check out his album covers. This might blow your mind but he’s actually quite popular and has gained a loyal following.

Lamar Odom Vs Blake Griffin

Posted by slammo in Kobe, Lakers

Well, so much for the new and improved Odom. He lost his cool last night and pulls Griffin’s jersey. The game was over, there was no reason for such recklessness.

Kobe had this to say:

“[Going for the rebound with a nine-point lead] is just the right thing to do. You’ve got to play all the way through. You play until the final buzzer sounds. It’s as simple as that. That’s the way I grew up playing. That’s the right way to play.”

“I think Lamar just had to make a stand, because up to that point, Blake ran through Pau. It wasn’t nothing personal. Blake just ran through us, and we didn’t have anybody who was going to put up a stand. I think that kind of turned the tide. … We just didn’t put up much of a fight.”

Kobe has a valid point but I think the real reason was Odom had a flashback of getting teabagged by Griffin in their last game and couldn’t take it anymore.

The New and Improved Lamar Odom

Posted by slammo in celebrity gossip, Lakers

Lamar Odom has always had a natural talent for basketball. Even before he came into the league, people went on about his potential. But he never lived up to the hype. He’s always been inconsistent and distracted. Last Summer, he really turned things around and became the anchor to the USA team. His great play continued this season. And if we’re to believe this article, Lakers fans have the Kardashians to thank.

“You know how things can just line up in life?” asked Odom. “I met Khloe at the perfect time. The stability she and her family bring me is why I’m at peace. I think I have gotten to a new point as a man, as a father, as a basketball player.”

“I just want Lamar to worry about basketball and to be as comfortable as he can be,” Kardashian said during a recent phone conversation. “Before me, he never had that luxury. Whether it’s buying face wash to paying our bills, that’s not his job, he doesn’t have to worry about it … I want to be there for him always and do everything he needs or wants.”

This could all be publicity for their new reality tv show. I hope it’s true though. Odom endured a lot in his life from losing his mom at a young age, dad was a heroin addict to his infant son’s death. It’s great to hear things are working out for a nice guy like him.

The Lamar Odom & Khloe Kardashian Show

Posted by slammo in Celebrity, Lakers

The show that everyone’s been begging for is coming. From the geniuses that brought us “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami,” Ryan Seacrest Productions brings us the next chapter in the Kardashian saga. via Ryan Seacrest

When Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom said “I do” in 2009, it was front-page celebrity news throughout the world. Now, the power couple is putting their life together at the center of a new television series, when the cameras begin rolling on “Khloé & Lamar” (working title) in early 2011. In the new series, the outspoken Kardashian sister and the Los Angeles Lakers star will invite cameras into their home, where Khloé’s brother Robert Kardashian has become a semi-permanent houseguest. Robert, while he won’t give up his video games, is embarking on his own career in the music industry now that he is no longer living with mom Kris and step-dad Bruce Jenner.

We’ll also follow Lamar both in Los Angeles and as he hits the road to fulfill his professional duties as a member of the world-famous L.A. Lakers. Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, New York, Odom’s background is a world apart from the privileged upbringing Khloé enjoyed in Los Angeles. With all the drama and laughter that is certain to be a part of this new series, could Lamar’s expressed desire to “start having children right away” come into play? If so, viewers will likely be the first to find out.

Great news for Lakers fans. With Odom playing some of the best basketball of his life, he’ll have more inspiration to play consistent. /end sarcasm. I’m surprised this union is still going strong.
