Dwyane Wade throws down a mean dunk. Too bad he didn’t get to dance when the game ended.
The real dunk champion gets his against Blake Griffin. Too bad he didn’t tea bag Griffin.
The troof tries to act tough after his dunk. Superb acting, as always.
Shawne Williams does the impossible and dunks on Dwight Howard.
AKA the guy who handed Blake Griffin the slam dunk trophy. He’s a legit dunk champion, unlike Griffin.
Telling the haters that yes he went safe with his dunks in the slam dunk contest but he’s still the champ. Blake making it look too easy.
The game is best summarized into this clip. Kobe Bryant, the old man in the all-star bunch, triumphs over LeBron James who’s taking this exhibition game way too seriously. LeBron is still bitter he didn’t win All-Star MVP last year.
The Slam dunk contest was entertaining, no doubt. But it’s a joke they let fans “vote” for the winner. It’s not about dunks, it’s a popularity contest. They already reserved the car and the choir for Blake Griffin so he’s guaranteed a spot in the finals. And all that presentation was wasted on a mediocre dunk. I like Blake as much as the next guy but this was another example of the NBA prepping the next star.
Best dunk in the contest
The Rookie/Sophomore game became a slam dunk contest. Below are the standouts from the night.
Almost better than the full court alley-oop. Almost. Nice defensive job by Roy Hibbert.
