The Slam dunk contest was entertaining, no doubt. But it’s a joke they let fans “vote” for the winner. It’s not about dunks, it’s a popularity contest. They already reserved the car and the choir for Blake Griffin so he’s guaranteed a spot in the finals. And all that presentation was wasted on a mediocre dunk. I like Blake as much as the next guy but this was another example of the NBA prepping the next star.
