The Celtics Survive LeBron

Posted by Admin in Cavs, Celtics

The C’s did what the Pistons couldn’t do last year – Get past LeBron and the Cavs. LeBron scored 45 points but was offset by Paul Pierce’s 41 and P.J. Brown’s clutch performance in the 4th quarter.

LeBron James Diss Tape

Dissed by Brian Scalabrine? For a guy who averages less than 2 points a game, he shouldn’t step up to LeBron.

LeBron’s Worst Night of His Career, 2-for-18 Shooting

Posted by Admin in Cavs, Celtics, LeBron

Last night in Boston was the setting for one of the ugliest playoff games in recent memory. 3 stars go on to combine 4 for 36 shooting. LeBron James had his worst night ever at 2 for 18.

Espn.com quickly points out that last night’s fiasco was LeBron’s worst of worst, followed by a 3-for-20 performance against the Sixers on March 18, 2005; a 2-for-13 night against the Clippers on December 3, 2003; and another 2-for-13 bungler on February 11, 2004. Note that those last two games happened during LeBron’s rookie year and none of them occurred during the playoffs.

Despite ‘Bron’s impotence on the court, the Cavs still had a chance to win, until this play.

I fully expect LeBron to bounce back. After all, he really can’t do worse than .111 percent shooting.

Sam Cassell 54 Rebounds

Posted by Admin in Celtics, Pictures

Nice error made by the YES Network on Sam Cassell’s performance vs the Knicks. I guess that puts him at number two behind Wilt Chamberlain for most rebounds in a single game.” Wilt had 55 in 1960.

Celtics Reach 50th Win

Posted by Admin in Celtics

The Celtics Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce led the way in routing the Philadelphia 76ers to reach their 50th victory for the first time in 16 years.

Celtics Big Three

It was back in the 1991-’92 season when the other Big Three of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish finished the season with the record of 51-31. That year was monumental for the league — Michael Jordan and the Bulls won their first of many championships by beating Magic Johnson and the Lakers. It was also Bird’s final year as an NBA player. Ahhh, the good ol’ days
