One of the craziest trade deadline just ended. Mike Bibby thought he was going to play in the playoffs, he got sent to Washington and will never know how victory feels again. Baron Davis thought he’d be throwing alley-oops to Blake Griffin, Donald Sterling banished him to the worst team in the league for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon. Houston gave up Shane Battier for a scrub Hasheem Thabeet. Houston’s Aaron Brooks switched places with Phoenix’s Goran Dragic. Blazers gave up their only backup center, two no names, two first round draft picks and cash for Gerald Wallace.

Boston wins for the most random and unnecessary trades. Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson got sent to Oklahoma for Jeff Green, Nenad Krstic and 2012 first round pick. Marquis Daniels got sent to Sacramento for cash and second round pick. Both rookies Semih Erden and Luke Harangody got sent to Cleveland for second round pick. Rumor has it they want to free up space to sign Troy Murphy after he gets bought out by Golden State. Congratulations Boston, you now have no front court depth and no longer pose a threat as a great defensive team. If Murphy becomes a Celtic, that will make three new players who can’t defend. The O’Neals are done, they don’t count. All this because they needed a swingman to backup for Pierce and Danny Ainge expected Perkins to walk when he’s a free agent after refusing to sign an extension. And Jeff Green will most likely be a rental just for this season.

Oklahoma is the clear winner in this year’s trade deadline and became a championship contender over night. They add much needed front court depth with Perkins and Nazr Mohammed. Letting Jeff Green go was great for them because they wouldn’t pay him what he wanted, they’re giving that money to Russell Westbrook. I feel sorry for Seattle fans. They got robbed of a future Western Conference Champions and possible dynasty.

SCOTT RAAB: I’m writing a book about LeBron. I’m a Cleveland guy. I’m mad at him.

CHRIS ROCK: I don’t even see what the big story is. The owner’s an idiot. Why is the owner an idiot? I said it on television — you can look it up. I was at a Lakers game — they were probably playing the Knicks. It was on TNT, and Kenny and Mark Jackson and whoever interviewed me on the sidelines, they asked me about LeBron. I said, “They should trade him.” I said it, on national television.

SR: We thought he was coming back, Chris.

CR: I said you should trade him. I said any owner, any big-ego owner would take this shot. You could’ve got any player — you literally could’ve got Kobe Bryant. You could’ve got any player you wanted. You could’ve gotten literally any player outside of Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard. Any player. You could’ve got any two or three players you liked. I said this on national television. You could look it up — you’re a writer.

I said that in the middle of the season. The day the season was over, I was doing press for Grown Ups, the movie I did with Sandler. They asked me again: “Where’s LeBron going? What’s going to happen?” I said, “Well, if he’s going to Cleveland, you will know within 24 hours, but if Pat Riley gets him in a room, it’s all over.”

SR: We thought he was coming back.

CR: Why would you think he’s coming back? People move from Cleveland to Miami every f—ing day. They don’t move from Miami to Cleveland.

SR: Because of his mother. Because of Gloria.

CR: Well, guess where his mother’s living right now. In f—ing Miami. I saw that coming a mile away. Are you kidding me? He’s not signing his extension? Trade him right now.

SR: He signed for the three years. They all did — he and Bosh and Wade.

CR: He didn’t realize it? He’s an idiot — the owner’s an idiot. You’re in Cleveland, dude….

SR: I’ve been down there three times — I get the part about, it’s beautiful, the women are unbelievable.

CR: It’s Miami. Dude, they’re on the fucking beach right now.

SR: He tweeted that he was up watching Poetic Justice this morning.

CR: Dude, they’re on the beach right now, in fucking sandals. And by the way, most people from Cleveland would do the exact same thing — would move to Miami at the drop — dude, I’m 45, I’m tired of the fucking winter.

There you have it. It’s not about winning multiple championships. It’s about beautiful beaches and beautiful women. LeBron wanted to live out HBO’s Entourage in Miami. Who could blame him. Well except Cleveland and folks in Ohio.

There’s a popular stat going around about Kobe Bryant’s shot selection. It says Lakers are more likely to lose when he attempts more than 20 shots. Kobe attempted 24 last night, only making 8. Kobe’s known to not adhere to the triangle but it’s not fair to solely blame him when Lakers don’t play well. People praise Larmar Odom for his versatility but he rarely shows up when his team needs him. Last night he only had 6 points and 4 rebounds. Lakers played poorly and got outworked, out hustled by the worst team in the league. Silly Laker fans are panicking and screaming trade for Melo. Embarrasing lost by defending champs but they’ll be fine.

Congratulations Cleveland Cavaliers! You now hold the new losing streak record in league history. After Monday’s loss to Dallas Mavericks, the record is now 25. Let’s hope Cavs and Washington Wizards continue losing to set up the most epic match up of the season on Sunday, February 13. Will the Wizards win their first away game? Or will the Cavs finally end their losing streak? Make it happen, basketball gods.
