Vince Carter is Clueless
Devin Harris led the Nets in scoring last night in his debut. But before last night’s game, Vince Carter seems to have lost the memo regarding his new teammates.

Down goes the mascot!
The hybrid basketball-gymnastics extreme sport that had a short life on Spike in 2002 and 2003 is being resurrected for a “showcase” season to be taped in June with expectations of selling eight franchises before 2009.
The revived SlamBall’s new season is being financed by IMG, which has joined with its original partners, the producer Mike Tollin and the sport’s creator, Mason Gordon. They have hired Pat Croce, the ebullient former president of the Philadelphia 76ers, as the commissioner.
His name is JJ Ross.
On July 20, 2006 At age 38 and 315 days, MJ shattered the record for the oldest player to score 50+. The game prior had MJ scoring just 6 due to injury which stopped his NBA-record double-figures scoring streak at 866 games. MJ came out to make up for that here. It should be mentioned that MJ’s injury limited him to just 2 full-game scrimmages the entire year in practice. MJ is simply the best ever.

and so are the Rockets…
Yao has a stress fracture in his left foot that likely will require season-ending surgery.
“This is unbelievable,” Rockets owner Les Alexander told KRIV-TV in Houston. “This is the most heart-breaking. This is the worst I’ve felt.”
Houston, currently on a 12-game winning streak, is in fourth place in the Southwest Division. The streak followed a loss in the one game that Yao has missed all season. I don’t think the Rockets have a chance now being in the Western Division. You’ve got to go against the likes of Shaq, Andrew Bynum, Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudamire…etc
The 7-foot-6 Yao is averaging 22.0 points and 10.8 rebounds in 55 games this season.
